Tegan's Story (continued)

Today the lady came back for me with Jack and George. She decided that, before loading us in the van, it would be a good idea to walk all of us up the lane. I was very excited to be out and kept bouncing around. There were four other Greys from the kennels up ahead, and at one point I was so excited and bounced so hard, that my new Mum dropped the lead and I raced off up the lane. I heard a lot of shouting, but really there was no need to panic, as I only wanted to say hello to the Greys in front, and as soon as I caught up with them I stopped.

Finally we were all put in the back of the van and set off for home. I managed to impress Mum by being very good in the back of the car. My new brothers are really funny as they stand up a lot, and then when we go round corners they sometimes fall over and make a huge fuss. Frankly it makes sense to lie down in a moving vehicle but there is no telling Jack and George.

When we got home the people from next door came out to look at me and said I was very pretty. I lay in the back of the van and pricked my ears, which everyone thought was fantastic.

I think my new home is going to be very easy.
