Christmas 2003

I knew it was a special day as soon as Mum came downstairs this morning because she gave me an extra big hug, and kissed my head a lot. This was nice, but what I really wanted was to go outside and sniff round the back garden.

Once we were all back inside we started the day with an extra large turkey flavoured dog biscuit, and from that point onwards the treats just kept coming. We had special things added to both our breakfast and dinner, and lots of other treats besides. My present was a packet of my favourite biscuits all the way from England, and as soon as I smelt the package I started to wag my tail. Dad helped me to unwrap it while Mum kept an eye on the other three who were opening their new toys (they all rip the paper off themselves, but I am far too well mannered to do something like that). Of course while the other three were distracted Dad gave me two biscuits all of my own—he says I can have some more every day until they are all gone.

After Mum and Dad had eaten their lunch we all went outside to play and take pictures in the snow. I really liked following Mum when she slid down the hill on her new sled, and she made sure she went nice and slowly so I could keep up.
