A Few Thoughts About Snow

As you all know we have been in our new house in Switzerland for several weeks now, and I like it here a lot. The best part is the huge garden where I spend most of my time during the day and even include the occasional border patrol at night between 1am and 6am.

Anyway this morning when Mum came downstairs to let us out there was lots of strange white stuff coming from the sky. It was like rain but different and very confusing. It also seemed to mean that we had to wear our coats, which I wasn't too happy about either. I stood at the door and looked for a bit, and then I decided to bark at it. Usually when people come to the house and I bark they go away (it works with the postman every day), so I thought this was a good thing to do with the white stuff (Mum calls it snow).

I realise that the snow makes Tegan frisky, but can't a boy even have a wee in peace?

Well it didn't go away, and it was all over the grass as well. I went out and onto the grass to lay down in my usual place, but it was all covered in snow so I snorted for a bit and then lay down anyway. It wasn't very nice, as the ground was all hard and cold. I moved a little further across the lawn, but that white stuff just gets everywhere, and I couldn't find a good place to lay.

The other dogs are very funny in the snow. Jack and Tegan seemed pleased about it, and did lots of prancing and playing, but George who is the oldest and the wisest stayed in his bed and refused to move.

Eventually Mum called us all back inside (except George who was still in his bed) and took our coats off, but I kept getting her up to open the door so I could check on the snow. The sun finally came out, so I decided to go outside and look at the snow again. Once it had stopped falling from the sky it wasn't too scary at all, and I even decided to lay down in it. When you get used to it, snow is actually quite fun, so I hope we have some more here very soon.
