Links To Other WebsitesThese are some of my favourite greyhound-related sites. Many of the online retail sites are based in the UK, and those that aren't will ship to the UK (and usually Europe) if required. In most cases I have used the ones that offer goods for sale, and they are listed here because I have found their service and products to be of the highest quality. If there is a particular site that you would like to see here, please e-mail me the details. Please note that these links will open in a new window, but if you don't close it, they will all open in the same one.
Personal SitesAussie Greys tells the story of Sam and Piper, and includes some lovely agility pictures and the amazing story (in words and pictures) of Piper's recovery from a horrific accident. It also has one of my all time favourite greyhound pictures?click on "Piper's Accident" (it is not a graphic or gory picture). Blarney's Castle is a really lovely story about leaving racing kennels and how it is seen from the dog's point of view. Daffy's page is a really inspirational story about a greyhound with leg problems. This site does have lots of pictures, and you will need Quicktime to view the short video clips. Greyhound Mom's Virtual Doghouse describes the slow descent into greyhound addiction, with lovely stories of Sharon's four adopted greyhounds. This site also has some good information on pannus and osteosarcoma. Impulse's Lure Pole Page has some great action shots of a greyhound playing with a specially made doggie fishing line. Kevyn and Pippa's site tells the stories of the lives of two ex-Croftview residents (two of my own dogs also came from Croftview). Some lovely pictures and good information on greyhounds as PAT dogs. Mad About Greys was set up by a couple who are currently unable to adopt, but wanted to help more retired hounds find a home. They sponsor dogs at several kennels, and then visit them in person, adding their own personal description and photos of each dog. A wonderful and helpful way to promote the breed. Our Beautiful Greys is a lovely site about Shirley and her greyhound Smokey. Shirley has also started fostering, and the site is updated regularly with details of her latest arrival. Sapphire Diary of a Greyhound is the diary of the adventures of two retired racers, Sapphy and Argus. Lots of nice stories and pictures. The Beastly Beasts is a beautifully maintained site with a regular blog written by one of the resident hounds. Lots of helpful information as well as an inspiring dog related quote at the top of every page. The Rockin' Rooers is a webpage devoted to a family of retired racers along with some Italian greyhounds too. Zoë and Pharaoh's Virtual Crate is worth a look for the greyhound wedding pictures alone (I must add that I did have my doubts about this, but it was done as a fundraiser for charity.)
